Social Media: points worth considering

Did you know around a few billion people every day are currently active on forums like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WeChat, Instagram, Snapchat, Line, Xing, Pinterest, etc?

Are you on the surface of these platforms or can you look deeper into the core and see what it can do for your business?

Unless you have a paradigm shift in remodeling your business, you will not be able to catch up with this changing technology landscape. But once you decide to make changes, the results are phenomenal. Unbelievably phenomenal.

Ask yourself this question – how many digital touchpoints can you create for your customers?

Similarly, these touchpoints need not be just outwardly facing the customer world; it can be extended to your employees, partners, and others in the eco-system.

Once this is perfectly done, it creates a ripple effect.  You earn your customer’s trust and loyalty, and you create an easier way to stay in touch. All of the jargons used in sales & marketing could be accomplished so easily.

Just do a simple exercise

  1. What sort of frequent interactions can you create on your business?
  2. How can you facilitate transactions easily using the online space?
  3. What can you do if you know your customer preferences, age, address, and other finer details?
  4. How will you replicate some models of Amazon (customer who bought this also bought that) or your browsing history or alerts LinkedIn creates for you to update your profile as you search for jobs or Google displays the ad results based on your search.  Can you improvise some of these for your business?
